I’m a Bristol based photographer, and I work with organisations, businesses and individuals to provide high-quality photography for promotional purposes, editorial content, or simply to capture something special. Whenever possible I take a documentary approach to my subject, working unobtrusively to create natural, atmospheric images that meet my clients’ needs. In addition to producing photography I present workshops for groups, on a range of photographic topics, and provide one-to-one tuition for individuals. The four sections above contain examples of my work, and provide further information about the services I offer. Please get in touch if you’d like to know more.
I’ve been passionate about photography since childhood. I grew up in Essex, but family holidays were often spent in the Lake District, and this remains one of my favourite places to visit and photograph. I later studied at the University of Wales, Newport, graduating with a BA (Hons) in Documentary Photography in 1999. I went on to spend several years working for English Heritage, in their photographic department, before embarking on my freelance career. I now live in Bristol with my wife and three children, and our (rather old!) cocker spaniel.
